Day 9. Finish

The final day of any journey carries a mix of emotions, and our time in Sweden's Sarek National Park was no exception. Known as Europe's last true wilderness, Sarek had tested us with its rugged terrain, unpredictable weather, and awe-inspiring beauty. Day 9 marked the conclusion of our unforgettable adventure, leaving us with memories to last a lifetime.
The night was cold, the water in the kitchen sink we left outside had frozen. But fortunately, we could spend the night in a small hut, which in summer serves as a local shop.
Quickly collecting our things, we went ashore, hoping to soon see the boat. And now, 9 a.m., 9:10, 9:20 ... silence. Well, apparently we will have to row. We were already heading towards the boat when we heard a barely audible distant rumble. It was a boat! We were lucky. Lars had received our message and took us to the other side.
And here we were again on the trail. The last day of the trip was sunny and warm. All past failures and difficulties immediately left us somewhere behind in the distance. And, as if on purpose, everything around said, "Look, how beautiful it is here! You must come back!" And we will!
With such a mood, we quickly ran the remaining 20 km to the Saltoluokta station, spent time on the ferry and soon saw our car.
Back to civilization! Today a hot shower, beer, huge steak and a soft bed waiting for us. ☺
