A coffee Lover’s Dream
I’m a fan of good coffee and have always dreamed of being able to bring my coffee machine along while camping, backpacking or travelling. My dream has now come true. With my new Nanopresso Portable Espresso Machine I can have a delicious shot of hot coffee no matter where I happen to be.
Initial Skepticism Turns to Satisfaction
At first, I was very skeptical and couldn’t believe that such a simple hand-held coffee maker would produce a quality drink. But after conducting several tests at home and in the woods, I realized that Nanopresso would now become one of my favorite pieces of camp kitchen gear. The coffee I made with this portable espresso machine was amazing – rich and tasty with nice creamy foam on top.
Compact and Well-Designed
The Nanopresso is a perfectly designed, compact and relatively lightweight portable coffee machine when compared to similar devices available on market. Together with its hard carry case, Nanopresso weighs just over four hundred grams. All the parts fit together with absolute precision, like very good construction. It’s also very easy to use as I didn’t even need a User Manual!
Tips for Brewing the Perfect Espresso
To get a perfect shot of espresso, you need a little practice, just like with any coffee machine. The secret to good coffee lies in the quality of the coffee beans, the degree to which they’ve been roasted and ground, the water quality, and even the power of pump pressure. I got the best results when I used medium-ground coffee and compacted it fairly tightly into the filter basket. Before brewing, you need to run hot water through the machine to warm it up a bit.
Easier Brewing with the NS Adapter
For those who need an even easier method of preparation, Wacaco also offers a NS Adapter. This allows you to use Nespresso or Nespresso-compatible capsules instead of ground coffee. Using the pod adapter also makes for an easier cleanup.
